Started on a Logitech G29 and found it a great starter wheel worth the money as a year-long trial.
Moved from a Thrustmaster T150 to a G29 and liked its look and leather, but the slack and all the gear rattling and clunking put them off.
Used a Logitech G29 for about a decade until the shifter started acting up.
Tried a Logitech G29 before their CSL DD and didn't like the experience.
Their old Logitech G29 was super noisy and clunky compared with direct drive.
Liked the Logitech G29 compared with a controller but it never hooked them; after trying direct drive they realised it was a toy and switched to a MOZA R5.
Could barely use their Logitech G29 in Assetto Corsa because it was so noisy that racing at night disturbed the family; sold it for a direct-drive base.
Has a Logitech G29 and finds its force feedback horribly loud and janky.
Uses a Logitech G29 with PS5 and VR and says together they take racing games to another level.
Loves their Logitech G29: cost-effective, not the best, but still competitive with practice.
Their Logitech G29 broke after about 18 months despite careful use.
Ran a Logitech G29 until moving to a Simagic Alpha EVO; the Simagic is a night-and-day difference, but the G29 did its job and got them hooked.
Loved their Logitech G29: its clutch and H-pattern shifter taught them to heel-toe and prepared them for their first real track days, before moving to a CSL DD.
Had a Logitech G29 for about eight years, at least five of them of hard use; a great wheel to start on that they still recommend for entry level, though moving to a MOZA R5 needed a change of driving style.
Has had a Logitech G29 for five years and thousands of hours and it is still going strong; just swapped to RS Pedals.
Has used a Logitech G29 for about five years in Assetto Corsa and ACC; it is now showing its age, with one shifter paddle almost broken.
Has owned both a G29 and a MOZA R3 and wouldn't buy a G29 at any price; the R3 is night and day better for a little more money.
Bought their G29 in mid-July; within a few months the leather rim started developing white marks in the pores after moving it to a windowless room.
Races on a G29 and easily makes leaderboard top 10s, holds two world records and is ranked 8th in the UK on RaceRoom; says expensive gear won't make you faster.
Has beaten their G29 hard for ten years and still uses it.
Has a G29 bought three years ago and thinks it isn't worth today's prices; would make a MOZA R5 the entry level even though it costs more.
Has used the G29 for about a year across GT7, The Crew Motorsport and BeamNG. Whatever the force feedback settings, it feels unrealistic to them: easy to oversteer, the wheel oscillates from side to side after small inputs, and forces sometimes feel too strong.
“sometimes when I steer just a little bit in one direction the wheel instantly starts to swing stronger and stronger from one direction into the other something a real car would never do”
Used a G29 after a DFGT until its outer shell broke under the clamp screws, first on one side, then the other, despite unclamping it after every use. Glued the pieces back and kept it going for a while.
Has used a G29 with a wheel stand and Logitech shifter for eight years and has a lot of fun; the biggest issue is the brake pedal, whose foam/rubber stoppers are too stiff.
Their Logitech G29 with pedals and H-shifter has given them hundreds of hours of joy and excitement; will upgrade eventually.
Wouldn't buy a G29 new today but has no regrets owning theirs, and thinks one is still worth it used for about $150.
