Finds the Logitech RS H-shifter not bad but not as premium as its shifter/handbrake combo, and nowhere near Simagic's DS-8X.
Since getting the RS H-shifter they keep missing downshifts, going into first instead of third; the throws are much shorter than in their real manual car. Used to it now, but it still nags them.
Uses Logitech's RS shifters on an NLR stand and finds the H-pattern shifter nice to use through gears 1–6, with the sequential smooth too.
Waited years for Logitech's H-shifter and is very disappointed: it's very hard to shift, the centre springs are too stiff to find gears, and it sounds like a plastic toy. Calls it the worst shifting experience they've had, nowhere near their TH8A.
“It is not even close compared to my TH8A.”
Got used to the RS H-shifter's extra spring stiffness and really likes it, only disliking the 7th gear position.
Loves the Logitech shifter: with headphones on they only hear in-game sounds, and the shifting feel is great.
Moved from a modded TH8A to the Logitech H-shifter and didn't mind it at all, though they mostly use paddles.
Disagrees that Logitech's newer H-shifter is a toy: likes that it needs forceful, committed engagement of each gear, a big step up from the Driving Force shifter.
Calls the Logitech shifter great and genuinely premium, vouching for its quality and reliability from their own use.
Their Logitech H-shifter, bought in January 2026, failed after eight months; the warranty claim has been stuck for a month with no replacement stock, so they bought a Simsonn HS Pro.
